We are Nicole Horney and Axel Oppermann, the owners of Mare Yachting.

In 2020, we took over Mare Yachting and moved the center of our lives from Germany to Croatia. Since then, we have been on site for you in Šibenik all year round.
In our lives before Mare Yachting, we worked in very different areas.
Axel was a geologist who ran an engineering office for many years and worked in international raw materials exploration. He has been a passionate sailor since childhood and has gained experience in various nautical destinations in addition to Atlantic crossings. He has been associated with Mare Yachting for over 15 years with his own boats.
Nicole has been a master tailor and designer in the textile industry and tourism for many years and has built up and managed an interior design company, among other things.
We have both gained a lot of life experience in a wide variety of areas and countries. When time allows, we travel the world in search of like-minded people who are as passionate about what they do as we are.

Today, we lead a team of 11 employees at Mare Yachting and attach great importance to making your vacation the best time of the year. Our focus is on quality and service. We are your local German contacts and, together with our team, are always there for you personally.

Mare Yachting has many regular customers who come back to us every year, sometimes several times, giving us confirmation of our work and passion. Some regular customers have become boat owners and stayed with us permanently. We look forward to welcoming everyone who is part of the Mare Yachting family, who will stay or join us in the future. Together we can form a strong community that believes in the same values and stands for sustainable and fair business for everyone involved.
